Maxum brand ambassador Kyuss King has taken out the Open Men’s division at the 29th Annual Burleigh Heads Single Fin Festival, claiming a standout win at one of Australia’s most iconic surf events.

Held at Burleigh Heads, the Single Fin Festival is a celebration of style, flow, and vintage boards ideally pre-’81 — before fins multiplied there was ONE . And this year, Kyuss surfed with total control.

As Stab Magazine summed it up perfectly:
“Lose speed and you’re fucked.”
At Burleigh, Kyuss never did.
Surfing It Exactly Right
In coverage from Stab, Kyuss was photographed post-win — your 2026 Burleigh Single Fin Festival Open Men’s winner, hydrating with Gage Roads, fresh off an Ian Byrne six-channel. A moment that captured everything the event stands for: precision surfing, the right equipment, and being completely in sync with the wave.
Single fin surfing rewards patience, timing, and confidence — and Kyuss delivered all three when it counted.

A Win That Speaks to Style & Substance
The Burleigh Single Fin Festival isn’t about forced progression or manufactured moments. It’s about reading waves, trusting your lines, and committing fully. Kyuss’s win is a reflection of his surf approach — expressive, powerful, and grounded in pure feel.
It’s also what makes him such a natural fit as a Maxum ambassador: performance driven by instinct, individuality, and respect for surf culture.

Congratulations, Kyuss
Taking out the Open Men’s title at Burleigh is no small feat — and Kyuss King did it with speed, flow, and authority. Enjoy the celebrations!

We’re stoked to have Kyuss as part of our Maxum family.
