Keely Andrew recently secured a spot on the Maxum Team after thrilling crowds at the MAXUM ASP Women’s Pro Junior event in 2013. Keely currently holds the 2013 QLD Open Women’s Champion title and has her sites firmly set on the Women’s World Tour.
How old were you when you first learnt to surf?
8 years old.
What do you love about surfing?
The fact that I can be myself and do whatever I want.
Who are your role models?
My Mum, Carissa Moore, Bede Durbidge, Ellyse Perry, Genie Bouchard.
Who has helped you to get to where you are today?
My parents, my coach Ian Portingale, my trainer Tim Just and my sponsors.
What is your most memorable surfing moment and why?
Getting the call to surf for Australia at the ISA World Championships. Because it was the least expected call ever and the trip of my life.
What's the best advice you have been given?
Just keep smiling.

3rd Swatch Girls Pro WQS 6 Star and Winning Roxy Pro Trials at Snapper.

Usually training or hanging with friends.

Hopefully be on the WCT.
